The Complutense University of Madrid sends 25 pallets of humanitarian aid to La Palma

The Complutense University of Madrid sends 25 pallets of humanitarian aid to La Palma on 3th of November, in a campaign coordinated by the Vice-rectorate for Institutional Relations and in which the 26 faculties of the UCM and 2 affiliated centres have participated, the 25 pallets that the Complutense University has prepared with the donations made by its students, professors and administrative and services staff left for the island La Palma.

The material sent – expressly requested by the Cabildo de La Palma – includes small electrical appliances, computers, tablets, mobile phones, sleeping bags, camping equipment, backpacks, blankets, pillows, sheets and school supplies.

Deans Esther del Campo and Aurora Castillo agreed in highlighting the great response that the Complutense community has given to this “great initiative” and were proud that the employees, teachers and, above all, the students of their centres have been involved in the campaign.
