The University of Almeria has prepared two courses on topics that are currently of great interest to the general public: cyber security and data science. Today there is an increasing demand for skills related to cyber security and data science in the labour market. Both will be delivered online via digital platforms by professors and researchers from the University of Alberta.
The first to start will be the cybersecurity course, which will begin on March 3 and will run until December 22, with registration open from February 23 to March 2. Now that society is facing a “fourth industrial revolution” caused by digitalisation, securing cyberspace has become a priority on the agenda of most governments.
Registration for the Data Science course will be open from 15 to 22 March and is scheduled to run from 23 March 2022 to 31 January 2023. Extracting valuable information from data requires specialised training, which includes a combination of disciplines such as computer science, mathematics and statistics.
The University of Almeria will deliver the course online in a streaming format (the course will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session). In addition, the credits from the course will be recognised in the future Master’s degree in Data Science and Cyber Security being organised by the University of Almeria.
