In the afternoon, they will visit together the UNESCO World Geopark Cabo de Gata-Níjar. in the evening, at the official residence, the prizes will be awarded to the winners, a dinner will be held and a “geographic heritage” will be prepared, and the event will end with a visit to the Tabernas sub-desert.

Coordinated by the Spanish Association for the Teaching of Earth Sciences, the various associations concerned with geology organise these Olympic Games every year, which are aimed at all students in the Spanish education system who are enrolled in ESO or fourth year of high school.
