New university legislative reforms to be discussed at the Crue General Conference

The Crue-Secretarías Generales held its twenty-ninth day of meetings at the University of Alicante on May 9 and 10. On this occasion, it focused on the analysis of the draft Organic Law of the University System (LOSU) and included discussions on the new Law of University Coexistence, digital certification of degrees and the protection of teaching materials.

The opening day was also attended by Luis Barcala, Mayor of Alicante; Ángel Antonio Carbonell, Director General of Science and Research of the Generalitat Valenciana; and María Teresa Lozano, Secretary General of Crue-Universidades Españolas.

During these two days, all these issues related to the legal dimension of university activities and their recent legislation, such as the new Law of Coexistence, digital certification and copyright, have been discussed and analyzed. There was also a round table discussion on new legislation with the Secretary General of Universities, José Manuel Pingarrón.
