A Coruña, 29 March 2022 – The University of A Coruña will open its virtual doors to prospective students and their families on Wednesday 30 March and Thursday 31 March from 16:00 to 20:00 online at https://udc.gal/gl/futuros_estudantes/portas_abertas/ .
Following the digital initiative launched during the pandemic, the UDC’s Office of the Vice Chancellor for Students, Engagement and Employability is organising another year of virtual open days via the web, where prospective students and their families will be able to find out all about the academic content of the University. Also, learn about the University’s facilities through videos from each centre and, new this year, learn what current students have to say about their ongoing studies and the centre they are in. Students will be able to attend the different talks organised to learn about the degrees. All talks will be broadcast live via Teams.
The conference website also provides prospective students with challenges and workshops related to the degrees awarded as a way of learning about some aspects related to some degree subjects or aspects related to some of the services offered by the UDC, such as the library, sports, the careers department or the Office of Co-operation and Volunteering.
In addition, students can learn about university life outside the classroom, including information on culture, sport, cooperation and volunteering, the environment, or practical information of interest to international mobility, such as how to access UDC’s public university halls of residence, attention to diversity, etc.
The UDC representative of the Inter-University Council of Galicia (CIUG), the organiser of the university entrance exams Abau, Pedro Armas, will open the session with a Teams session at 16:00 hours to explain the novelties of this year’s Abau, which he will also offer at the same time on Thursday.
