The Scientific Culture Unit presents its new outreach project: a podcast
March 14， The Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I) of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) publishes the first programme of its science outreach podcast “En las ondas de Marie”
With a monthly frequency and through the Spotify and Ivoox platforms, the radio programme will address scientific content applied to everyday life and explained by experts from the UCM.
The brain is the first protagonist of “En las ondas de Marie”, taking advantage of the fact that today is the kick-off of International Brain Week.
José Ángel Morales García, a neurobiologist from the UCM’s Department of Cell Biology, will answer questions such as the role of the brain in love, how to keep it active to slow down neurodegeneration, and whether the cerebral hemispheres exist and their relationship with our artistic or logical abilities.
The aim of this Podcast is to offer you the science that interests you most, the science that is present in our daily lives, told in an entertaining and simple way by our own scientists.
The programme was recorded in the DoFa Radio studios, in the Faculty of Geography and History of the UCM, and the voice of Yerma Ruano, a journalist from La Sexta with experience in voice-over, is in charge of the programme.
