Exchange Program
at University of A Coruña

If you are planning to apply for a place at the University of A Coruña as an incoming exchange student, you must first contact the International Relations coordinator at your home university to discuss your plans with them. We can only accept incoming students who wish to study in subjects specified in bilateral agreements between universities. Check with the International Relations offices at your university to discover with which universities and which departments or faculties the university has signed cooperative agreements. The University of A Coruña only admit exchange students approved by the International Relations Offices of its counterparts.

At the final stage of the Exchange Program, the University of A Coruña will issue to students academic transcripts and students will obtain credits for the course. Besides, students can choose to stay at the University of A Coruña in pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree if conditions permit.

Mature Educational System​

Every year the University receives more than 500 international students who spend a year (or a semester) at University of A Coruña. Visiting students study together with formally matriculated students at UDC and register for courses offered at any Faculty or Campus. They will also be allowed to take courses from other faculties or campuses. The University of A Coruña offers courses both in Spanish and English.

Study Program
Spanish Language Courses at University of A Coruña

The objective of the language courses is to make international students who are not native Spanish speakers improve and increase their Spanish grammar and vocabulary learning skills in a specific communicative context. The courses also contain contents such as Spanish culture and Spanish literature, for a purpose of helping students deeply understand Spain in all aspects.

Founded in 1989, the University of A Coruña is modern, innovative and dynamic. It has more than 20,000 students, 1400 teachers and 24 centers offering degrees in almost all disciplines and levels including Health and Experimental Sciences, Humanities, Social and Juridical Sciences, Technologies and Engineering.
The University of A Coruña has two campuses, respectively in A Coruña and Ferrol, two beautiful coastal cities in Northwest Spain. The two cities, together,

Rialta is one of Galicias largest and best-equipped university residences. The facilities are located in A Zapateira residential area, with a distance of fewer than 500 meters from the campus. Whats more, it only takes a 5-minute walk to reach the city center. The residence offers regular free shuttle bus service for temporary and long-stay residents.  

Language Center of University of A Coruña

The Language Center of the University of A Coruña is a dynamic institution in the university. The language center offers a variety of language courses every semester for Erasmus students and other non-Spanish native students and even the public to participate. The courses on Spanish as a foreign language are designed for students who wish to start learning or improving their Spanish during their stay in Spain.

The courses of the language center adopt a small-class teaching system, and the number of students in each class is less than 15. In the language center, both traditional teaching methods and the latest audiovisual technologies are used in teaching.
