Students entering the programme are required to attend a Foundation Stage to strengthen their Spanish language and academic skills before starting their undergraduate studies. Entrance to the programme is subject to a competitive interview, written examination and material review, and once entered into the Foundation Stage, you are eligible for both an undergraduate place reservation and a scholarship!
The International Foundation Programme at the Complutense University consists of two obligatory modules, a total of 90 course credits and 675 hours of course time.
Module I: Spanish Language Courses
This course is based on the syllabus developed by the Instituto Cervantes and aims to develop and improve students’ language skills in written comprehension and expression, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and oral expression and interaction in Spanish.
Course duration: 575 hours face-to-face (25 hours per week)
Module II: Introduction to the University Diploma Programme
This module provides students with professionally oriented courses, divided between the social sciences and humanities. Students will take three compulsory major-oriented courses as well as Complutense University’s Introduction to Ethics and Pedagogy.
